10,000+ Riders: Painting Ìbàdàn Orange One Man at a Time

We started from the bottom now we’re here 🎉🎈🎈🎉🎉

On March 2, 2020, we started what looked like a mission impossible in the city of Ìbàdàn. One of the greatest concerns we had was how to make local Okada riders use Smartphones and also familiarize themselves with google maps and the SafeBoda riders app.

If you live in or frequently visit Ìbàdàn, one thing both Micra and Okada riders in the city have in common is impatience. How then were we going to make these men spend time learning how to use these digital tools?

Here’s what we did

We Brought the Riders In

Our first 4 Riders are members of staff. As Riders themselves, they have first-hand experience with dealing with all the hassles of the job and as staff members, they understand how the business works.

This makes them the best people to be the first point of contact to Riders. This is why they form the bulk of the Rider Onboarding team and train Riders who want to come on the platform.

Riders Community

At SafeBoda, our riders community is integral to our business and one of the functions of this community is to offer support to these riders.

A SafeBoda rider can flag another SafeBoda rider to ask for clarity on how to navigate the app, and he gets help right on the spot from his fellow rider.

When one reaches out to one, two becomes four and everyone grows.

We love to see it!

The Result

SafeBoda is 10k strong!

We’ve currently onboarded over 10K riders in Ìbàdàn!

This is a big win for us, as our riders sit at the heart of what we do, and this number indicates that we’re doing something right in showing care and support for our riders.

If you have any Okada rider around you, the best gift you can give them is to tell them to join SafeBoda 😉

What this means for you

More riders means less delays! There are more SafeBoda riders available to take you from your house to work, your favourite amala joint, hang out spot, church, mosque, and anywhere else you visit in Ìbàdàn.

Even more? You get a 40% discount when you pay via your wallet. This means you get to save more when you go cashless!

So, don’t wait any longer. Click here to load your wallet and enjoy this awoof.

Don’t say Seyi never did anything for you 😉
